"Wow, Coach Hurba, what an improvement in Zac's baseball ability! You have taught him so much about his position, batting and sliding as well as the fundamentals of the game. Your love for the game shows through your guidance and the fact that you model what Zac needs to do, instead of just telling him what to do. Having high expectations for Zac and pushing him to meet those expectations gave him the motivation to improve and work his hardest. Also, thanks for taking the time to work with him one on one and not allowing him to just "play" baseball but to work hard, beyond what he thought he could do, allowing him to improve himself. Oh and by the way, he even wants to play Fall Ball which normally by the mid to end of the season he was very ready to be finished, but now he wants to continue. We never thought of Zac as the athlete type because he had never really shown any interest to challenge himself. Now he has an appreciation of the sport as well as a true desire to play.
